Matt King (born 31 January 1968) is an English actor and comedian. He is known for his role as crack-addled Super Hans in the Bafta winning British sitcom Peep Show. He also played many characters in the Channel 4 Bafta nominated comedy series Star Stories including Elton John and Terry Venables and starred in his own self-penned sketch show Dogface also on Channel 4. He has also appeared in cult comedy series Look Around You.

As a stand-up comedian he has appeared at the Edinburgh festival many times and at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. One of his shows was disrupted by the fact that he had a devastating car crash immediately before the show started, but the show went on.

He co-stars in the movie Inkheart with Paul Bettany, Helen Mirren, Brendan Fraser, Andy Serkis and Jim Broadbent, co-stars in the new Guy Ritchie film Rocknrolla alongside Jeremy Piven and Gerard Butler, the British film Bronson with Tom Hardy, and has a lead role in fantasy thriller Malice in Wonderland alongside Danny Dyer. He has also appeared in the third series of Doctor Who as Peter Streete in The Shakespeare Code and was a regular character in the hit BBC production Jekyll playing computer expert Freeman.

There is a picture of him on UK Indie band Good Shoes’ 7″ single “Photos On My Wall”.

Matt is currently starring as a Dr. Frankenstein style character in the Capital One credit card television advertisements in the United States and writing his own sitcom ‘Whites’ for BBC2 based on his own experiences as a chef working in Michelin starred restaurant kitchens. He is also appearing on First Direct adverts in the U.K..
